Standard Service
SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT
Call Reprovantage Client Services (1-916-917-6792). The service agent will review available times and a suitable location for you to drop off your collection kit with the mobile lab.
Make your payment (see Services) to secure an appointment and the agent will send a collection kit to your home address via 2-day mail.
GET YOUR BLOOD TEST
Federal and State regulations require that individuals seeking to bank their sperm for future clinical treatment MUST be tested for a certain infectious diseases. A record of test results must be kept with our tissue bank. Testing can be performed from a single blood sample at most hospitals as well as by most medical diagnostic laboratories. Reprovantage can provide test slips for Quest and LabCorp which have dozens of locations throughout Northern California.
YOU'RE DONE !
Within 5 to 7 business days you will receive a cryopreservation report via email or regular mail. The report will include an evaluation of your semen based on WHO appraisal methods, describe how your specimen was frozen and the number of vials generated for future use.
Simply walk up to the service window. The andrologist will check and scan your picture ID, receive your kit, and present documents for your signature. The registration process typically takes less than 5 minutes.
COLLECTION TIMING AND DELIVERY
Shortly after collection of your specimen, close and secure the provided specimen container in the specimen collection kit and deliver the kit to the mobile lab at the appointed location. It is important not to delay as best results are achieved when the specimen is received within one hour of the time of collection.

Urgent Service
Numerous circumstances can create a more immediate need for sperm cryopreservation than can be met by our standard service (examples include diagnosis of cancer with eminent treatment, military deployment, and injury requiring surgical extraction of sperm). Reprovantage can accommodate these circumstances depending on your location and the timing of your request (see Services).
Urgent service generally does not allow sufficient time for Reprovantage to obtain infectious disease test results ahead of specimen cryopreservation. Cryopreserved specimens for Clients lacking a complete set of test records are kept frozen in a dedicated holding tank for up to 2 weeks to allow Clients additional time for testing. Specimens will be moved into a long-term storage tank once Reprovantage receives the complete set of test results.
CHECK OUT YOUR COLLECTION KIT
Within the kit are various documents, a specimen collection container, a pen, and specific instructions for the collection of your semen specimen. Please review the collection instructions carefully and the other documents at least 24 hours ahead of the your appointment. Call or email if you have any questions about the process or the documents.
